Communication on the ship begins with a kit
A VHF connection at 156 MHz requires three things: a station, an antenna, and the right cable between them. Selecting them separately means solving the issues of compatibility of connectors, cable length and mounting on the mast. Icom IC-M200 In our configuration, the RRR-certified station is supplied with a marine antenna, cable and mount – a ready-made kit that remains to be delivered to the ship.
What is the Icom IC-M200 station?
The IC-M200 is a proven marine VHF-radio Icom for small and medium tonnage vessels: fishing boats, work boats, small-sized boats. Icom is one of those brands that have been trusted at sea for decades: the device holds moisture, salt and vibration, and the interface is clear to the crew without long training. The station operates in standard sea channels, supports marine communication requirements and is ready to work as part of the GMDSS vessel.
Why the antenna kit is more convenient
The antenna solves the range stronger than the power of the station, and it is with the antenna that problems most often arise when selecting independently: the wrong connector, weak mounting, cable with a large attenuation. Included with the IC-M200 antenna is already agreed with the station, the cable of the desired length is compressed and checked, and the mount is selected for standard installation on the mast or cabin. This saves installation hours and removes the main source of “bad range” – a poor antenna track.
Who is the right IC-M200?
The first is the owners of small boats and boats, who need legal sea communication without immersing in the subtleties of selection: the kit is installed and works. The second is fishing vessels, where communication is a working tool, and simple because of the “wrong connector” is unacceptable. The third is the shipowners who restore the kit after wear: the station, antenna and cable are changed at one time, and the tract is again in a factory state.
What to check before installation
Three moments. Place under the antenna: it should be metal and as high as possible - the hull of the vessel works as a grounding surface. power supply: the station is connected to the onboard network with a fuse, polarity is not confused. And Certificates: The RRR document kit is suitable for ships that need certified communications – the documents go along with the equipment.
How to supplement the marine radio
If the ship does not yet have a loudspeaker, it makes sense to add an external speaker to the IC-M200 - on a noisy deck, the call should be heard. For river vessels operating in the range of 300-336 MHz, instead of a marine antenna, VHF antennas of the river range will be required. TC-330D-1 pin ASh-700, both with RRR documents. How to place an order
Write a letter: name the ship and its destination - we will answer the price, availability and delivery time, if necessary, add a speaker, adapters or additional cable to the kit. Shipment to any region of Russia and Kazakhstan, all accompanying documentation is attached to the cargo.
