What's important on the ship
The station for the vessel is selected according to three things: the navigation area, the requirements of the register and whether it is needed in the emergency kit. For service communication on board, the requirements are softer, for GMDSS - strict and formal.
Separately look at power supply: the marine network gives drawdowns, and stations with a wide range of input voltage behave more stable.
