Called 5D-FB, you can order a cable to make the line, but the finished assembly requires additional data. In the application, distinguish between a segment of the desired length and a finished cable with two agreed connectors. This affects the quotation composition, timing and verification. The facility needs an antenna model, a hardware port and a track plan. The exact number of meters is determined taking into account the turns, the allowable reserve and the location of the fasteners. The geometric distance between two points does not usually describe the entire route.
How to account for losses without fictional numbers
Attenuation depends on the frequency, length, and design of a particular cable. For the calculation, the manufacturer's passport of the proposed 5D-FB is requested. If the loss is set at 100 meters, the value for your length is obtained proportionally, after which the connections are taken into account. An example of a method: with a passport value of A dB per 100 m, the 20 m section gives about 0.2 × A dB of losses of the cable itself. This is a formula for recalculation, not a promise of a certain attenuation of our position. A table of another cable family does not replace a 5D-FB passport.
The connectors are selected from both sides.
For each side, write down the connection type, central contact configuration, and port designation. Additionally, check whether the selected connector is designed for the design and diameter of the cable. No two externally similar connectors can be considered interchangeable. If there are already several adapters in the system, attach a scheme: it is convenient to coordinate the new assembly with the minimum number of connections required.
