Terminal and finished service differ
The Galileosky Base Block Iridium transmits telematics data through a satellite channel where conventional cellular communication is not available. For marine monitoring, in addition to the device, a consistent data acquisition scheme is required. The price of equipment is not the price of an already connected service.
The inclusion of the vessel in the SMS Victoria is considered under a separate service contract. Conditions, necessary data and connection procedure are confirmed for the project. We do not promise automatic registration only upon purchase of the terminal.
The host is important
Prior to delivery, the receiving system and the supported exchange format must be determined. The manufacturer separately specifies the need to support satellite data software platform. Any existing monitoring system is not considered suitable without verification.
If the equipment changes on an existing vessel, list the old terminals, antennas and transmission circuitry. This helps distinguish a replacement device from a change to the entire service. The preservation of the old channel should not be implied without agreement.
What you need to install
The statement includes the terminal, the necessary antennas, power supply, connections and configuration. scope of supply and the composition of the work should be understood separately. The catalog image of the device does not show all elements of the future installation.
The frequency of messages and their content are set by the work task. These parameters affect the service used. The mere presence of a satellite module does not mean that there are no data transfer costs or any available refresh rate.
How to order a solution
Transmit the vessel data, the purpose of monitoring, the intended area of work, the required frequency and information about the receiving party. Separately indicate the equipment that is expected to be retained. To calculate the delivery, you need a point of receipt and details.
The Base Block Iridium is not an Iridium 9555 voice phone. If the crew needs a separate device for conversations, it is ordered by an independent line and selected a separate service. The quotation does not mix telemetry and telephony.

For the fleet operating in the Caspian and receiving equipment in Aktau, a separate statement for each vessel is useful: the terminal, the existing installation, the receiving platform and the responsible party of the project. A common order for multiple terminals does not replace the negotiation of where information should go.

If the software platform is saved, its designation and expected format are included in the request in advance. Connection to a specific service is confirmed under the terms of the project; neither the location of receipt nor the presence of a satellite unit means that all ships are automatically included in any monitoring system.
